Inspired by the clean aesthetic of the Japanese culture, this scarf employs several hand loom techniques. First we start with a sheer base of fine organic cotton. The cotton is fine spun yarns to allow some transparency. Then the silver yarn used to make the jacquard flower motifs is silver thread. The chambray indigo blue has been dyed using traditional Ikat methods, This silver and white thread is then woven into the scarf as the weavers is sitting at the loom - thread by thread. This ancient technique is known as "jamdani." Colors are Custom dyed.
